January Spotlight Athlete- Thomas Scott

CrossFit isn’t only about working out. It’s also about the community that’s created. Occasionally at CrossFit Zachary someone comes along who embodies both those elements, working out with intensity and fostering community. Thomas Scott does just that. He’s a pillar at our gym and leads by example all while keeping a huge smile on his face. Brandi, Thomas’ wife, invited him to CFZ a while ago and since day 1 he wondered what’s the catch? He’s since found there’s no catch. Good old fashioned hard work pays off and is best done with the kind of people that workout at CrossFit Zachary. He’s told us he’s grown to love his time with us. It takes a special person to wake up to be a part of the 5:30am class but to do it all while keeping the energy high for everyone else attending the class is a sign of a leader in our community and that’s who Thomas is.

We asked Thomas what’s inspiring him to wake up each morning and still workout after all this time and we found out that he’s still committed to his fitness and conditioning. The temptation is always there to give up or to put the foot on the breaks for a while but when one has really bought into the CrossFit philosophy and has seen it work like Thomas has then one digs deep for the determination to stick to the process.

Congratulations to Thomas for leading his family at home and at CrossFit Zachary on the journey of being the best version of themselves possible and for being our spotlight athlete.
