2021 October Spotlight Athlete- Courtney Barbour

Fresh off of her win at the 2021 Ragin Game competition we’re happy to introduce you to Courtney, our spotlight athlete for the month. Even though she hasn’t been with us for very long she’s made quite an impact on our community. The way she attacks a workout with everything she has drives the people working out with her to step up their game to keep up. But even when we can’t quite keep up she never stops cheering until the last person is done. That’s what we want in our community and she always brings it. It’s also easy to coach someone who already coaches others yet remains coachable. These are a few reasons we’re shining the spotlight on Courtney this month. Q: WHY DID YOU JOIN US?
A: I had been doing CrossFit in my garage but I needed community and coaching! I loved the atmosphere and people at CFZ immediately! 

Q: WHAT'S BEEN YOUR BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT SINCE JOINING US?
A: I’ve gotten so much better at all of my gymnastic type movements! PROGRESS! Those improvements helped me win my division at the Ragin’ Games! 

Q: WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON NOW?
A: I’m still working on gymnastics. Always! I really want to learn to walk on my hands! 

Q: WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE MEMORY AT OUR GYM?
A: Most definitely how all the members supported and loved on me through this past competition!! My car had just been stolen and people stepped up to lend me gym equipment, bring me flowers, cheer me on, etc. I felt SO cared for and that means the world to me. 

Q: WHAT MOTIVATES YOU TO CONTINUE TRAINING HERE?
A: I love seeing all the smiling faces at the gym everyday. They motivate me to chase my goals! Now that I have one competition under my belt, I definitely want to do another!
